Word on the street is Luke Kuechly isn’t leaving Charlotte anytime soon. After signing a five-year extension, he is now expected to be the highest paid middle linebacker in the history of the NFL. Kuechly isn’t talking to the media about the deal yet since it has not been announced by the team.

Kuechly was the Panthers’ 2012 first round draft pick and the NFL’s 2013 defensive player of the year. He has started all 48 games for the Panthers and only being 24 he likely has many more seasons ahead of him.
