I had those stereotypical thoughts of bike riders, you know black leather, rough hangouts, mean people... until l became one.

There is camaraderie amongst bike riders, sort of like an unwritten "code of ethics". When we pass each other on the road we exchange a wave or a nod and if you are in need, other riders always stop to see if they can help. I was amazed at the folks who own and ride bikes, the range of ages and professions and today more women are riding than ever. I've learned it's a two way street though, when I meet people for the first time and tell them that I ride they cannot believe it. Most say they can't even picture it.

I went to a rider's safety class where I learned to ride and I really enjoy riding my own bike now! I currently ride a Harley-Davidson Street Glide.

I wanted to share with you this passion I have in common with millions of people because of the good things that come out of it. Bikers get together to ride for fun and enjoyment but many times they ride in organized rides to raise money for someone in need, toys for children at Christmas or charities.

I am partnering with Pat Rogers Harley-Davidson in Concord, NC throughout this summer. Every month there is an event at the dealership. You do not have to own or ride a bike to participate in the fun!

June 28th, TeamHeidi will be there with one of the big RE/MAX balloons and the band Super Glide will keep you entertained.

Staging! Everybody everywhere is talking about staging homes. My team and I have been staging and selling homes from South Charlotte to the University area, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, if we could we would cover all of North Carolina we would!

We have been assisting our sellers to stage their homes for years. We did this by going room by room with them, making suggestion as to paint, wallpaper, etc.

A few years ago one of my past clients and friends who was a decorator in her former life decided to advance her career by receiving her designation as an “Accredited Staging Professional” (ASP). She approached me about staging the homes that my team was selling.

I gave her one home as her sort of an interview process, my personal home! It looked so great my husband did not want to sell…but we did and our home sold quickly and it was the highest sale that neighborhood had ever seen!

For homes that are vacant we have furniture and all the accessories to make the home feel warm and inviting. We have the furniture delivered and then Laura stages the home.

For our homes that are occupied we use the furnishings that belong to the sellers.

We did a lot of research to find out what our competitors were charging for this service. I can guarantee that we have them all beat.

Are you ready for some football!  It’s that time of year again when school starts and pop warner football. Team member, Lisa Turley, knows a lot about football because she has 2 sons playing the sport. Michael, 15, plays junior varsity at Charlotte Catholic High School in Pineville, North Carolina. Michael has been playing football since he was 12 when he played on the Lake Norman Giants pop warner team in Huntersville, NC. Lisa’s younger son, Stephen, 9, is now following in his older brother’s footsteps. He is on the Lake Norman Giants Jr. Pee Wee team for ages 9, 10 and 11. Stephen is very excited because he loves the game. The team has been practicing since August  and  so far, Stephen has been slated to play left tackle.
