Why did I watch the Brady Bunch growing up?  Someone should have told me that the show was unrealistic BEFORE I decided to have 4 children!  Why did Carol Brady always seem so calm?  Now I understand that everyone who decides to have a family definitely needs an "Alice"!! 

Now with school in full swing, I am going in all directions!  My son, Stephen, who practices football with the Lake Norman Giants of Huntersville NC  3 times per week finally, had his first game on Saturday.  It was very exciting to watch as the Giants dominated the entire game against the Ravens of Indian Trail. The score was 38-7.  After watching Stephen play football, I headed down the road to watch as my daughter; Marisa's North Meck soccer team played a tight game against the WCWAA Black Team at the Optimist Park in Matthews. Though they tied, Marisa's team played a great game. 

Watching the kids play sports usually is the highlight of my weekends, but this weekend, Stephen was in an ice-cream eating contest at the Panther's Lair in Uptown Charlotte NC.  All he had to do was eat the most ice-cream in 3 minutes and he would win 2 tickets to the Carolina Panther's opening game that afternoon.  Our family definitely felt he had a good chance of winning because ice-cream is at the top of his food chain. It was hysterical to watch and though Stephen gave it is all, he did not win, and he came in 3rd. Though he did not win tickets to the game, my husband, Joe, bought 3 tickets from a friend and they got to enjoy the game anyway! 

Next week promises to be another fun-filled week!  Looking forward to the fall weather and selling some homes.
